You can find some great information on Custom Newborn Sessions right on our website, here. However, I wanted to take a few moments to really get into the value that we offer our clients with their most precious newborns during such an important time of life.
Even when you are not a new parent (baby number 2 or 3), you will still take extra precautions to make sure your new baby is happy and safe. If you are like me, you won’t even want to put him or her down or let them out of your site for even a moment. So why wouldn’t you want the absolute best experience for your new baby during their newborn session (I can’t put a question mark here, it will have to be a period).
We often get asked what makes our newborn sessions different and I am always excited to talk about what we offer for parents, and new parents, at the biggest transition of a family’s life.
Aside from the beautiful products and heirloom quality that we offer – we include an entirely effortless newborn portrait experience that helps reduce stress and gives parents a well deserved break.
First off, our team includes Sandra Henderson, our baby whisperer. She has worked with posing newborn babies for many years and is a teacher to aspiring photographers on the safety and proper posing when handling a new life in the world. We pride ourselves in keeping baby safe and comfortable during their portraits, which is only possible with a skilled and trained newborn poser. We just happen to have the best there is on our team!
Secondly, our team includes Nicholas DelVaux, who works hard for every client behind the scenes. Just a few of the things he overseas is set design/studio lighting and behind-the-scenes video to document your memories. In addition, he prepares water, drinks, and finger finger foods, ambient music and a relaxed atmosphere while parents take their, sometimes very first break, in days. We understand the sleepless nights and the big changes, and we are here to help!
Lastly, I resist the urge to snuggle with your baby through the entire experience. Oh, and I also design the sets and plan the rotations and set lists ahead of time, I prepare any props or outfits and I’m in charge of all the buttons on the cameras and lenses (yes, some lenses have buttons too).
All joking aside, I have goosebumps when designing and taking newborn portraits. I know just how precious and important they are and it has always been my dream to give this experience to as many families as will have us.
